MECHANICAL WIRE WEEDER

The ECOLOGY/AD is a short-wire mechanical weeder designed by Berti for under-row cleaning in vineyards and orchards, providing an effective and sustainable solution that allows chemical-free under-row management. The machine performs grass cutting and soil movement, contributing to soil care and the maintenance of agronomic balance in the crop.

Suitable for flat terrain, including stony soils and areas with overhead irrigation systems, the ECOLOGY/AD delivers optimal results with grass up to 25 cm high. It is a fast, continuous-working machine, operating at speeds between 4 and 8 km/h. Thanks to the absence of feelers, there is no need to enter or exit the row, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operation.

The weeder is compatible with Berti mulchers AF, AF/LE, TFB/L, TFB/Y, and TFB/C, offering high flexibility and easy integration in various operational contexts. It is equipped with hoses and quick couplings, with height and tilt adjustment via hydraulic jacks, allowing it to perfectly adapt to the terrain and vineyard conditions.

For proper operation, the tractor must be equipped with a single-acting distributor (40–60 L/min), double-acting distributors, and a free return to the tank.
