MULCHERS

FOR TRACTORS FROM 30 TO 150 HP

A range of mulchers designed for professional operations in vineyards and orchards: robust and reliable machines optimized for managing grass, vine shoots, and pruning residues up to 12 cm in diameter. Each mulcher is engineered to deliver maximum efficiency between the rows, ensuring consistent and clean work even in the most demanding conditions.

Compatible with tractors from 30 to 150 HP, these mulchers provide versatility and consistent performance throughout the year.

Our range of mulchers for vineyards and orchards represents the ideal choice for those seeking a powerful, durable, and easy-to-maintain machine, capable of combining high productivity with low maintenance. A complete line designed for those who want professional results at every stage of agricultural green management.

ROTORS

& TOOL HOLDERS

The tube, produced by extrusion, requires no welding and is therefore seamless – a guarantee of strength and reliability. This manufacturing process provides enhanced resistance to accidental impacts.

Square recess tool holders – why is this better?

When it comes to shredding, each design detail makes a difference. The tool holder is one such detail.

The choice between a hexagonal and a square recess affects not only the shape, it directly affects the holding strength and clamping of the component.

This design feature translates into increased reliability, durability, and operational safety.

The square recess allows for a more precise and stable mechanical connection between the tool (hammer or knife) and the holder.

This means:

• No play between parts, ensuring longer life of the holder-bolt connection.

• Reduced risk of slippage or rotation of the bolt.

• Greater resistance to dynamic and torsional stresses.

Each Berti rotor is tested and balanced at high speeds to ensure top-quality performance.

LEVELLING ROLLER

POSITION & TYPE

All our vineyard and orchard mulchers feature a support roller positioned externally to the machine body.

The external roller configuration is particularly suitable for shredding grass and woody residues from winter pruning.

This type of discharge allows the mulcher frame to retain material in the shredding chamber for longer, optimising the shredding process.

The result is a finer, more uniform product, ideal for soil application.

Perfect for managing organic residues, the mulcher with external roller is the ideal solution for vineyard or orchard operations, producing well-shredded material that is easily biodegradable and ready to integrate into the soil.

Main advantages:

• Finer, more uniform shredding.

• Longer material retention in the chamber for improved shredding.

LINKAGE

WHICH one TO CHOOSE

The standard offset linkage is the most common configuration on our vineyard and orchard mulchers.

In this 3-point offset linkage, the tractor attachment point is positioned laterally, usually on the left-hand side of the machine. This design shifts the mulcher’s centre of gravity to the right of the tractor’s axis during operation.

This configuration is ideal for under-canopy work and situations where the machine needs to operate offset from the tractor’s trajectory.

The central linkage positions the tractor attachment point perfectly aligned with the machine’s centre.

This allows the mulcher to operate with its centre of gravity on the tractor’s longitudinal axis.

Central linkage is mainly recommended for narrow vineyards.

TENSIONER

AUTOMATIC BELT TENSIONER

Berti vineyard and orchard mulchers are equipped as standard* with an automatic belt tensioner.

This device eliminates the need for manual adjustments, as it automatically compensates for the natural elongation of the belts over time, ensuring consistent power transmission and reducing routine maintenance.

The automatic tensioner also simplifies belt replacement operations – belts can be removed easily by hand, without tools, making maintenance faster, safer, and more accurate.

Reliability, convenience, and uninterrupted operation – three tangible benefits that reflect Berti’s attention to construction details and the real needs of operators.
