FORESTRY
ROTORS
Every Berti rotor is created from a supply chain that is monitored at every stage, from design to final balancing.
We use high-quality steel, precision-machined in our factories to ensure maximum strength and durability.
Every component is the result of a production process with attention to the smallest details. Every rotor we produce is tested and balanced. This is how every Berti machine offers the reliability and safety that professionals in the sector expect in all working conditions.
Within the forestry range, Berti offers three different rotor configurations, designed to meet different operational needs.
The mobile hammer rotor is the most versatile solution: upon impact with hard surfaces, the hammers retract, absorbing the shock and maintaining the rotor’s inertia. This allows for smooth and efficient working even on mixed terrain or in the presence of exposed rock.
The fixed tooth rotor, on the other hand, is designed to offer maximum power and precision on grass and wood, guaranteeing up to 30% more productivity than mobile rotors.
SMOOTH CUT
THE EVOLUTION OF THE FORESTRY ROTOR
Completing the range, the Smooth Cut forestry rotor represents the latest evolution in Berti technology. Equipped with steel profiles that protect the tooth during impact with vegetation, it reduces power consumption, improves overall working performance and delivers excellent results even in the most demanding conditions.
The advantages of the Smooth Cut rotor are reduced power consumption during operation, increased cutting tool life, reduced stress on the tractor and mulcher transmission, and lower fuel consumption.
Standard on KX, EFK/MD, EFX, EFK/DT, and FOREST PRO models.
BOLTED ROTOR
STUB SHAFTS
The stub shafts of Berti forestry rotors are with bolt-on-design, a solution that increases the strength and reliability of the rotor assembly. The bolted system facilitates maintenance and replacement operations, reducing costs of maintenance and ensuring assembly precision over time. This technical choice demonstrates the care taken in construction and attention to detail that have always distinguished Berti forestry machines.
TENSIONER
AUTOMATIC BELT TENSIONER
The forestry mulchers are equipped as standard with an automatic belt tensioner.
This device eliminates the need for manual adjustments, as it automatically compensates for the natural elongation of the belts over time, ensuring consistent power transmission and reducing routine maintenance.
The automatic tensioner also simplifies belt replacement operations – belts can be removed easily by hand, without tools, making maintenance faster, safer, and more accurate.
Reliability, convenience, and uninterrupted operation – three tangible benefits that reflect Berti’s attention to construction details and the real needs of operators.
CHASSIS
in Strenx® AND Hardox® STEEL
The external structure of Berti forestry mulcher is made entirely of Strenx® steel, a high-strength,
low-specific-weight material that guarantees an extraordinary combination of strength, durability and structural precision. Each chassis is designed to withstand the highest stresses, maintaining rigidity and stability over time even in extreme working conditions.
The internal structure of the mulcher, which is most subject to wear, is made entirely of Hardox®, a steel recognised worldwide for its exceptional resistance to abrasion and impact.
This combination of materials increases the longevity of the machine, reduces maintenance and maintains performance even after years of intensive use.
Precision construction, combined with decades of design experience in the forestry sector, makes Berti chassis a benchmark for strength, reliability and build quality, fully meeting the needs of professionals who work in the field every day.
Centrifugal
clutch
Berti forestry mulchers can be equipped with centrifugal clutch, a technical solution developed to avoid start-up stress on the PTOs of tractors and mulchers.
During the start-up phase, the centrifugal clutch allows the rotor to gradually reach working speed, avoiding sudden torque peaks and limiting stress on the transmission and internal components of the mulcher. This makes start-up smoother, safer and more comfortable, ensuring greater protection for both the machine and the tractor.
This technology helps to preserve the durability of the mechanical components over time.
Available on request on the following models:
ECF/MD – EFX/MD – EFX – EFX/DT – ECF – ECF/DT
hydrodynamic
joints
FOREST PRO hydrodynamic couplings are designed to optimise power management, ensuring a gradual and controlled start-up of the rotor.
Thanks to hydraulic fluid transmission, these couplings protect mechanical components from overload, reducing wear and extending the machine’s service life. In addition to ensuring safety and reliability, hydrodynamic couplings improve operational efficiency. The combination of fluid dynamics and mechanical precision allows for a smooth and progressive start-up, protecting both the tractor and the mulcher and ensuring consistent performance even in the most demanding conditions.
